Dolby Atmos, a unique audio technology from Dolby Laboratories is now available in New Delhi. The first Dolby Atmos screen in the capital city of India has been opened today at Delite Cinemas, situated in Daryaganj. Last year Dolby announced that it is planning to expand the footprint of Dolby Atmos in South East Asia region, including India.
Dolby Atmos supports up to 128 discrete audio tracks and up to 64 unique speaker feeds, compared to previous Dolby Digital 7.1 for a live cinema sound experience. Dolby Atmos screens are now available in several cities across India. Last month Kerala got its first Dolby Atmos screen in Jawahar Cinema, situated in Kothamangalam. All the recent movies including The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is mixed in Dolby Atmos.
